Drawing Central Park

A moment of quiet

Yesterday, I was enjoying Central Park, it was a lovely October day. I am known as a political cartoonist, but sometimes I like to just draw what’s in front of me. The pandemic in NYC is staying at bay for the most part, and people are enjoying the outside air. I saw many masks, but not always on people sitting alone or with family in the park, which makes sense. Visual journalism is about documenting what’s happening, and this day it was for me about people enjoying the park and enjoying each other.
