Drawing Oslo Freedom Forum, Day Two

Below, I share the drawings I did today at Oslo Freedom Forum, day 2. The above drawing is of a group of women whom I found particularly wonderful. They are all from Ukraine. The four on the left constitute a vocal group called Stand Up For Ukraine, and the two women on the right are visual artists. All are, of course, passionate about their country and want to help end the war and do what they can with their music and art. They, along with two other artists, recieved the Vaclav Havel Prize, given out each year to artists. Below is Nicaraguan Political Cartoonist, Pedro X. Molina, who had to leaveve his country because the goverment threatened him (he now lives in Upstate New York); and Kakwenza Rukirabashaija, a Ugandan author who has written novels against the Ugandan dictatorship.

It was a particularly moving day, these people are such an inspiration. It’s late here, so I will let the drawings speak for themselves.
