Trump’s Words Are Dangerous
He’s posturing like a big man about town
Yesterday’s job report was weak, prompting Trump to fire the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ head. He said without evidence that Erika McEntarfer “rigged” the data “to make the Republicans, and ME, look bad.” After he posted on social media that the jobs report was rigged, he added, “But, the good news is our Country is doing GREAT!”
It is not. The stock market posted its worst week in months, indicating economic fears. His approval rating is very low.
Trump is behaving like a man out of control, speaking in even more grandious ways than usual, lying about deals with other countries, and planning on constructing a new $200 million gold ballroom in the White House, the “people’s house.”
In Scotland recently, Heather Cox Richardson wrote that he boasted,
“I’ve stopped six wars in the last — I’m averaging about a war a month. But the last three were very close together. India and Pakistan, and a lot of them. Congo was just and Rwanda was just done, but you probably know I won’t go into it very much, because I don’t know the final numbers yet. I don’t know.
