Trump’s Trial In Drawings
Day One
Here are a some drawings from my imagination about the Manhattan criminal trial on day 1. I get my visuals primarily by reading the NY Times written, in-real-time coverage.
Trump arrived this morning at court in lower Manhattan for the criminal trial charging him with election interference in 2016.
Both the NY Times and MSNBC reported that Trump nodded off during the early lawyer/judge back and forth discussions in the courtroom, before the jury selection began in the afternoon.
When asked if they could be impartial, more than half the prospective jurors, close to 50, raised their hands to indicate that they could not be impartial. The NY Times reported that Trump looked at them.
I am enjoying how the NY Times reporters that are in the courtoom are using much more descriptive language in their quick posts in real time, more colorful than they normally might in an article. One reporter described the cafeteria at lunch and the questionable bagel…
