Trump’s Covid Flight

His denial could lead to his leaving

This drawing came to me after reading an article in the NYTimes where I learned of Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadow’s remarks in an interview, “We’re not going to control the pandemic,”, it “is a contagious virus just like the flu,” and that “what we need to do is make sure that we have the proper mitigation factors, whether it’s therapies or vaccines or treatments to make sure that people don’t die from this.” (NYTimes)

I envisioned a drawing of Trump playing with the virus, as if a toy, or Trump tossing it like a ball….and then the visual of the virus as a balloon came to me. And then I envisioned that the virus might just carry him away. Not literally, mind you — I don’t want him to be killed by the virus. But his approach to the pandemic might just make him lose the election.

And then he will, indeed, go away.
