His angry letter to Pelosi propelled me to draw

I have been wanting to draw something about the impeachment of Donald J. Trump for the last several weeks. Things have been brewing in me, a strong anger setting in as things lead up to the trial. The President is making stuff up, and the GOP is standing by him in force. Leader Mitch McConnell stated that he is coordinating with the White House counsel as we enter the impeachment trial. How is that right? What happened to our democratic checks and balances, to the idea that all members of the Senate enter the trial as impartial jurors?
