Trump and the Military

He is incapable of understanding service and dedication

According to a report in The Atlantic, in 2018, Donald Trump called fallen soldiers “losers,” and “suckers.” The sources in the administration are annonymous, but most of the sources have been verified by other journalists, even by Fox News journalist, Jennifer Griffin. Trump proceeded to call for her resignation on Twitter.

Trump is a narcissist, so the idea of going into the military for the greater good is something he is not able to understand. His comments in 2015 on Senator John McCain’s military service are well know, and are not unlike the recent disparaging words about heros who give their lives for freedom.

My mother’s brother was killed in WWII at the age of 19. I have nothing but deep respect, admiration, awe for him and for those who chose — and who continually still choose — to serve.

These are selfless people and I cannot thank them enough.
