As I watched the trial of the man accused of killing George Floyd, I was struck by the young witnesses that were brought in to testify as to what they saw. They are Judea Reynolds, Darnella Frazier and Christopher Martin. In their testimonies, they each said in their own words that they felt guilt and helplessness at not being able to do more for Mr. Floyd. Christopher Martin, the store clerk who accepted Floyd’s counterfeit $20 bill, felt if he had only refused the acceptance, police would not have been called, and Floyd would still be alive.
These are burdens that no one should have to carry, particularly 9, 17 and 20 year olds.
I live drew impressions of them yesterday on HappsTV.
