The Hope Train

Ride it through 2021 and beyond

We humans are funny. We attach meaning to all kinds of things, often things that don’t make sense. Like assigning huge significance to a stroke of midnight on one particular day of every year.

That said, I do it. When we crossed over into 2021, I was relieved. This year has particular meaning for all of us, and with the change of the calendar year, we will move beyond what has happened within the past year, a horrendous year! At that stroke of midnight, we kissed our loved ones and dreamed that 2020 will just evaporate. Things are looking up, it’s very true.

We can wish for, and exercise hope. Why not? It’s much more fun to ride the hope train, I think. At least in my cartoon world, judging from the characters above.

Hope is something that we have in our power as humans to use. It is something we can attach meaning to, like the stroke of midnight on a day each year. It brings joy, it motivates, it’s an act of love.

And it’s contageous.
