Thank you for that thought and your kind words. I feel on one level, people are asking me to give talks because I have been around and they are looking for advice. So not really "mentor," in the classic sense. The younger cartoonists don't seem to want that, or at least I haven't felt that fromt them. Oftentimes, I think the work is a mentor --I know when I was starting out, I didn't actively seek mentorship from older cartoonists, but I did look at their work a lot. It helped me in some ways.
