Violence enters the newsroom in Annapolis

Yesterday, a man walked into a local newspaper room and killed five journalists with a shotgun. We don’t know yet the motive for the murders at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland. But we do know that anger in this country is at an all-time high. We have to find a way to stop it. I drew this image on my phone as a tribute to the lives lost. They were hard working members of the journalist community, people who seek to find the truth every day. Contrary to current verbal attacks towards the press, journalists are honorable people and I am very proud to be a member of this community. My heart goes out to the families and co-workers of those killed.
