Sad, Scary Day

Peace is what we need

I woke up early Saturday morning at 5:30 am and glanced at my phone. There was a message from my daughter’s mother-in-law, and my dear friend, saying the family was safe in Tel Aviv. My daughter and her husband live in the US, but his family lives in Israel. I had no idea what was happening but soon found out. Israel and Gaza are at war.

I’ve posted the above drawing before, but it was fitting for today, and nothing else seemed right to write about. I have done a number of peace drawings over the years, here is another.

Whatever shape we can imagine, peace is needed in the world. It’s seems so hard to make it happen. These events of the last 48 hours in Israel will have major ramifications globally, I struggle to grasp what will happen.
