Our Right To Vote Is Uniting Us

We may be divided on many things, on this we are not

Part of my job as a cartoonist is to get a sense of what’s going on. Today, I met the day with a lot of anxiety because I feared violence and chaos during election day. So far, this has not happened. What I am sensing is a coming together over the enthusiasm to vote. As I watch the returns tonight — whoever wins the election, I am encouraged by this.

No matter whom you support, we are united today over this cherished American right to vote. This election day may end up being historic in the number of votes cast — the turnout has been huge. I seems that Americans are proud of this right and we take it very seriously.

Although we may be divided, we are together on this.
