There is a really odd piece in the NY Times today about a man who is an election predictor. I’ve seen him on CNN, I have no idea whether to believe his theories or not. But why the Times has to go to this extent in a rather cutesy way for this article is beyond me. No it’s not really beyond me, it’s economics.

Polls and predictions are infuriating, yet we keep getting deluged with them. We have learned they are unreliable, yet we still have them put in our faces on a regular basis. People who respond to polls are not always telling the truth, particularly concerning anything to do with Trump. They won’t admit they are voting for him, and now, they may not want to admit they are not voting for him.

During our monthly Seeing Things community zoom on Tuesday, one subscriber said that they have seen post-it notes in women’s stalls in bathroom that say, “Ladies, it’s okay to vote for Kamala. You’ don’t have to vote as your husband/partner does.” (I hope I am recalling that correctly). It’s crazy. Are women that swayed by their husbands/partners in general? What about posting that in men’s stalls? I said: “In men’s public bathrooms, you could post ‘You can still be a man and vote for Kamala.’”
