Nancy Pelosi’s Chutzpah
An amazing leader
We have been witness to an amazing woman leader over the course of three presidencies. Nancy Pelosi has been our guardian and champion. I share some of my drawings of her in recent years.
I know you have heard the news that Pelosi is stepping down from her position as Speaker of the House, the first woman to hold that position. Pelosi says it’s time for new leadership. No one can fill her shoes, we have been lucky to have her.
One thing I like about her is her ability to be controlled, yet seemingly honest with her emotions in front of cameras. You knew when Pelosi was pissed off. You recall when she ripped up her copy of Trump’s State of The Union speech after he delivered it. What fearlessness! She realized the importance of visual theater in politics (particularly under that President), and went for it. I recorded the moment in a drawing, and shared on Twitter in real time.
