Macron Has The World On His Shoulders

I was very relieved when France elected Emmanuel Macron president of France yesterday by a landslide, beating right wing candidate Marine Le Pen. Macron now has the world on his shoulders, as we look to France and thank her for her choice in selecting a centrist over an extremist. Clearly, anti-immigrant sensibilities are still very much with us here and in France, but at least we can hope that their new leader, Mr. Macron, will work towards a united Europe and more tolerant world. With his wife Brigitte’s hand firmly in his, as always.
