Live Tweet Drawing The 2016 Golden Globes

I love live drawing events, be they serious, frivolous or somewhere in between. Politics, sports, awards shows, non-profit — whatever appears to be capturing the country’s — or the world’s — attention. Last night, I drew the Golden Globes, and immediately tweeted out the drawings, sharing in the fun with my twitter stream. I do these sketches within a minute and don’t prepare ahead of time at all — it’s about the immediate reaction, the impression, the sense of what’s going on. My “caricatures” are not so much that (although I do try to get a likeness in some sense), but rather they are my visual response to what I am seeing.

Here are some of the drawings. To see them all in a slide show, click here.

Time covered my drawing last night.
