The House Judiciary Committee and four constitutional law experts
For eight hours, the House Judiciary Committee debated whether Impeachment proceedings should proceed against President Trump. The day included testimony from four experts on Constitutional Law — three invited by the Democrats and one by the Republicans. It got contentious at times, the Republicans repeatedly attempting to interrupt the proceedings with “parliamentary questions.” The theory was they were attempting to make the hearing so boring that Americans would tune out.
In essence it was a very interesting and educational hearing, particularly from the expert lawyers from Harvard, Stanford and GW. I live drew some of it, trying to pull quotes that showed both sides of the argument. The partisan arguments tended to be what one would expect. Generally speaking, while voices were raised at times, everyone behaved pretty well.
