How to get people to pay attention to what’s going on?

Taylor Swift? In an Instagram post yesterday, she urged her followers “to vote the people who most represent YOU into power. If you haven’t already, make a plan to vote today.” I don’t know if this will get young Swifties to vote.

Experts say that right about now, following Super Tuesday, is when Americans start to pay attention to the Presidential election in November. Heather Cox Richardson wrote in her newsletter this morning, “Just as voters don’t appear to know much about what the administration has done to make their lives better, a recent study from a Democratic pollster suggests that voters don’t seem to know much about Trump’s statements attacking democracy. When informed of them, their opinion of Trump falls.” Not everyone is reading the news every hour like I am — I’m scared that we will lose our democracy and have a country run by a hateful, dangerous person. That’s not who we are, or at least it’s not who I always thought we were. But not everyone is listening.
