Let’s Dance Into The New Year
I love to draw people dancing, so I did a video of that moments ago. What is that about? Joy? Abandon? Stress relief? The odd things people do? As a cartoonist, it’s my job to notice those things. You have to admit that dancing is odd, but yet it is also very human and very fun. In dancing, we express ourselves and we connect with others.
The space my studio is the upstairs of an old barn. I was delighted to learn years ago from an old man who delivered wood to us that it used to be used for dancing and boxing, that he would come here as a kid. Fitting space for a cartoonist, I can still feel the vibes.
Maybe you will dance this weekend, either in reality or metaphorically. I hope so.
