I Love Drawing The Pride Flag
And I love that the House passed the Equality Act
The United States House of Representatives approved the “Equality Act”i by a vote of 224–206. The bill amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to prohibit “discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation.” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer intends to bring the legislation to the Senate floor for a vote. Because of Senate rules, Schumer will need 10 Republican senators to support the legislation in order to overcome a filibuster. President Biden has indcated he will sign the legislation if it makes it to his desk.
About time!
Now let’s pass the ERA!
I sketched the above image during my live drawing broadcast on Instagram and then did the color version HappsTV.
