Grown-ups Are Coming, Right?

Do you ever feel this way? Like, when the heck do the grown-ups come back? And then you realize, oh, I’m the grown-up.

As a cartoonist, I find we are prone to thinking we haven’t gotten past childhood. That’s not a bad thing, of course: have a playful attitude, a curious bent, a wide-eyed optimism is a good thing. A sense of silly, an aptitude to for the absurd. We do sometimes throw tantrums, don’t know how to balance checkbooks, and would rather someone else cook dinner.

But in the end, everyone grows up. Except some politicians.

It’s all in your attitude.
