Drawing The RNC, Day Two

Fear mongering, blame, meanness and a bulldog

The theme of yesterday’s RNC was “Make America Safe Once Again.” All the speakers spoke to that, there was a lot of talk about how scary things are and how the Democrats are “letting” a lot of horrible people into our country. Right now as I am writing this, it’s 10:15 pm and they have onstage a string of “ordinary Americans” speaking about how their lives and loved ones have been “hurt” by President Biden’s policies.

Here are the speakers I drew over the course of the evening. I will mostly let the drawings speak for themselves and not offer a lot of commentary, although I have a lot of thoughts. I must say this was not pleasant to listen to, it got very nasty at times towards Democrats, Biden and Harris, and I heard misogynistic and anti-trans and anti-immigrant talk.
