The first day of inspiring activists and journalists

There are many places in the world where citizens aren’t free, and every year when I come to the Oslo Freedom Forum, I learn about more of them. It’s upsetting and worrisome, the rise in authoritarian regimes. But at this gathering, in this community, you also learn about the activists who are risking thier lives to make changes in their countries. It’s inspiring and humanizing. And gives one hope.

OFF invites me every year to live-draw their speakers, and also do sketches of the attendees from time to time. Today we learned about Uganda, Iran, Palestine, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Cambodia. It was day one of three, and here are my drawings.
