A Nation Of Yes-Men

I say “yes-men” because most of his people are men… and the women who follow him, well, they are yes-men, too.

But this woman is not a yes-man: NY Govenor Kathy Hochul is meeting with city leaders to discuss the fate of Mayor Eric Adams. She said, “Overturning the will of the voters is a serious step that should not be taken lightly,” Ms. Hochul said in a statement late Monday. “That said, the alleged conduct at City Hall that has been reported over the past two weeks is troubling and cannot be ignored.” I know I wrote about this yesterday, but I find news outlets are writing about it, like I did, that it is an important case to keep an eye on. It is a test of our system. I am aware it’s my city and I have particular interest in what goes on here. But I think watching both New York, California, and other states that might forcefull push back on what Trump is trying to do can give us insight. I feel for Hochul, it is a tough situation. If she dismisses Adams, she will not only be sued by Trump most likely (I think he already is suing her because she and other govenors are suing him), she will incur the wrath of New York Maga, part of her constituency.

Marco Rubio/Trump/Musk are pursuing a Russian partnership unlike anything we’ve seen before. I worry what we are capitulating to in the process. I don’t trust Putin or Trump, and know they will distort the truth.
